How do you program the garage door opener on a Chrysler?

My mom has had a Chrysler for a few years now, but I’ve just discovered through a friend that I can program her garage door opener. I’d love to set this up for her, but I’m unsure how. Do you know how to program the garage door opener on a Chrysler?

Thankfully, programming the garage door opener on most cars with a HomeLink system is easy. Follow these simple steps to learn how to program your
Chrysler
garage door opener:
  • Locate the HomeLink buttons in your Chrysler. You’ll either find these buttons on the overhead visor or the overhead console
  • Press and hold the first and third HomeLink buttons until the solid red light begins to flash rapidly. Then, release the buttons
  • Put your car in the On/Run setting, but don’t start the engine
  • Hold your garage door remote 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink button you want to program. Press and hold your garage door remote button and the HomeLink button until the red light changes from flashing slowly to rapidly. Then, release both buttons
  • Next, go to your garage door control center to locate and press the learn or training button. This button is often purple
  • Within 30 seconds, go back to your car and press the HomeLink button for 2 seconds, then release. Repeat the hold and press 2-3 times until you see your garage door close
Now you’re linked! Taking advantage of technology can make your life easier, even when it comes to the little things like having your car open your garage door.
