How do you paint your car dashboard?
How can I paint my car dashboard? I have been saying for years how I hate the color of my car dashboard. My friends finally convinced me to repaint it, but I'm not sure how.

There’s nothing worse than that one thing always bothering you! Luckily, it’s fairly easy to paint your car dashboard.
To start, you’ll need:
- Plastic
- Gloves
- Safety glasses
- 1500-grit sandpaper
- Soap
- Water
- Automotive primer and paint
- Sealer or protectant
From there:
- Disconnect your car battery to avoid any accidents.
- Remove any parts that could be damaged and cover anywhere you don’t want paint with plastic.
- Wash where you plan to paint thoroughly with soap.
- Mist the dashboard with water.
- Use 1500-grit sandpaper to ensure the paint adheres
- Apply primer
- Once the primer dries, apply your main paint.
- Finish with sealer or protectant
