has a top speed of 155 mph. These police cars—also known as the Dodge Charger Pursuit—come with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 (AWD) or a 5.7L HEMI V8 (RWD) and can reach 60 mph from standing in just 6.4 seconds.The Charger Police is specifically designed for safety and handling in high-speed chase scenarios:
- High-strength steel construction and large crumple zones reduce the driver’s risk from an impact
- Electronic stability control and a four-wheel disc BR9 braking system allow for improved braking and handling
- Improved traction control and heavy-duty suspension allow for nimble four-corner handling
It’s not uncommon to find a used old patrol car for sale, although it may be a while until you see one of these Charger Police cars on a used car lot.
