How do you open the gas tank on a Volkswagen Atlas?

I just bought a new Volkswagen, and my first trip to the gas station with it has me bewildered! Can you tell me how to open the gas tank on a Volkswagen Atlas?

The
Volkswagen Atlas
 is a great new buy! While there are plenty of features, buttons, and knobs to figure out, accessing the gas tank is deceptively easy. To open the gas tank on a Volkswagen Atlas, just press and release the external gas tank door.
A lot of cars have ditched the interior gas tank lever and release buttons for this springloaded door method. However, you’ll need to make sure that your VW is unlocked in order to access the gas tank. After you press in on the gas tank door you should hear a click and the door should release open. Then you’ll be able to unscrew the gas cap and fill up as needed!
The Atlas has a gas tank of 18.6 gallons and a maximum fuel efficiency of 21 mpg city/25 mpg highway. Keeping these numbers in mind is a great way to build a budget, which can make you more conscious and help you
save money on gas
