I recently bought a used Land Rover Discovery and need to take it to the gas station to refill the tank, but I can’t figure out how to get the fuel door open. How do you open the gas tank on a Land Rover Discovery?

To open the gas tank on your Land Rover Discovery’s is simple—all you have to do is:
- Put pressure on the rear center edge of the fuel fill door
- Release it
- Let the fuel door pop open
- With the fuel door now unlatched, pull it open the rest of the way
- Unscrew the gas cap counterclockwise to remove it
Once you’ve got the gas cap unscrewed, you’re ready to refuel your Land Rover Discovery—check the label inside the fuel door if you’re unsure of which fuel to use.
