How do you open the gas tank on a Kia Soul from 2015?
So I’m stuck driving my mom’s 2015 Kia Soul until I can save up enough money to buy my own car. I’m not even sure how to open the gas tank. What do I do to fill it up?

Kia Soul
from 2015 is pretty straightforward. Just follow these steps:- Turn off the Kia’s engine and make sure the doors are unlocked.
- Find the fuel door lever in the floor on the left-hand side of the driver’s seat and pull it up.
- You should hear/feel the fuel door release.
- Exit the Kia and open the fuel door the rest of the way.
- Unscrew the gas cap and remove it.
- Fill up your Kia!
Once you’re done, replace the gas cap and turn it until it clicks once. Then press the fuel door all the way closed. The mechanism should lock the door, making it flush with the body of the Kia.
If your fuel door won’t close or you’re having trouble
getting the gas cap off
, it may mean that your mom’s Soul needs a check-up. Let your mom know about the issues as soon as possible so that she can get the car to a mechanic if necessary.View full answer
