How do you know what trim your car is?

Can I condition my car's leather seats at home? My seats are looking a little old and worn. If I can, I’d like to do something to get them looking nice again.

When you take your car into the shop, your mechanic will need to know your car’s trim. Usually, you can find the information in:
  • The owner’s manual. Most manuals will come with mechanical specifications for the car, including the trim.
  • The car. Some cars might have a decal or sticker with information about the trim and other relevant mechanical features.
  • The original invoice or window sticker. When you buy your car, it should come with an invoice and window sticker that specifies the trim.
If you’re having trouble finding the information, ask your mechanic for help. Taking care of your tires is a central part of any
car maintenance routine
, so learning about your trim can be a helpful piece of trivia in the long run.
