How do you insure a car but not in your name?

I want to insure my daughter’s car but have it in her name still. Is this possible?

It’s great you’re willing to help your daughter out—the answer to your question is maybe. In most cases, you can’t insure a car that’s not in your name.
However, as a family member, things may be different. If your daughter is still a member of your household, you’ll want to add her car to the existing household policy for the least hassle.
If your daughter does not live in your household, she needs an insurance policy under her own name, and you can’t set up the insurance for her. Still, you can help her shoulder the burden by setting up automatic installments on your card or bank account instead of hers.
