I’m working on completing my required supervised driving hours, but I keep having to stop every time I make a mistake. I just get so upset. How do you move on when you make a driving mistake?

- Identify a solution: Acknowledge what caused the mistake, why it was a mistake, and a course of action that will prevent the mistake in the future.
- Talk to your supervisor: Ask them questions like what they would have done differently or how they would have recovered.
- Avoid disaster hypotheticals: If you are alive and able to analyze the mistake—that’s what matters.
- Accept your feelings: Embarrassment and shame are going to happen, but they are feelings and not facts
