How do you fix reduced engine performance in a Volvo XC90?
I am getting a “reduced engine performance” error in my Volvo XC90. The car gets shaky and won’t accelerate to high speeds after this. I plan to take my car to a garage, but will this be an expensive problem to fix?

If you need to know how to fix reduced engine performance in a Volvo XC90, you will probably need a mechanic’s help. Unfortunately, the reduced engine performance alert is not uncommon for Volvo XC90s. Your mechanic may try three different solutions:
- Spark plugs: Damaged spark plugs can trigger this error. If they need to be replaced, you can expect to pay about $200 per spark plug.
- Engine: If your engine is damaged, you may need to replace the entire engine.Engine failurecould cost you several thousand dollars.
