How do you fix an H3’s third brake light?

The top brake light in my H3 is out, and I want to save some money by fixing it myself. What’s the easiest way to fix the third brake light on my H3?

Saving some money by fixing the third brake light of your
Hummer H3
 at home is a great idea! The good news is that fixing the brake light is easy and only requires a screwdriver and replacement light.
To fix an H3’s third brake light, you should:
    1. Turn off the car and open the trunk
    1. Remove the rear panel covering the jack and set the jack aside
    1. Remove the interior panel surrounding the rear windshield using a screwdriver or plastic pry tool to loosen the plastic fasteners
    1. Locate the light housing and the third brake light bulb. It will be at the top middle of the trunk
    1. Disconnect the old brake light
    1. Install the new brake light and ensure it’s working correctly
    1. Replace the panels and jack to secure the light
