How do you disable the horn when locking a Toyota car?

I get home from work pretty late, and I feel like my Tacoma honk can be pretty loud when I press the lock button. How do I turn this off?

You sound like a very considerate neighbor! It’s pretty easy to disable the horn when locking your
Toyota Tacoma
.
Here’s how you can do it using the remote key fob:
  1. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob simultaneously for at least two seconds.
  2. Wait for the yellow parking lamps on the truck to flash three times.
  3. Press the lock button to secure the doors and ensure the horn does not sound.
Just like that, you can lock the doors on your Toyota car without having to worry about the horn!
