How do you delete a Bluetooth device on a Honda HR-V?

I just bought a used Honda HR-V and noticed the previous owner forgot to unlink their phone. How do you delete a Bluetooth device on a Honda HR-V?

Congratulations on your new (to you) car! Deleting a Bluetooth device from the
Honda HR-V’s
infotainment system is simple, and should take you no more than a minute. Here’s what you need to do:
  • Navigate to SETTINGS on your car’s digital display.
  • Tap PHONE SETTINGS, then select BLUETOOTH DEVICE LIST.
  • Find the device you want to remove, and tap DELETE THIS DEVICE.
  • Choose YES on the confirmation screen.
And that’s it! Now that the old phone has been permanently removed from your car’s Bluetooth menu, here’s how to add yours:
  • Go into your phone’s SETTINGS menu and make sure Bluetooth is set to ON.
  • Tap the HOME button on your car’s display screen.
  • Tap PHONE.
  • When your car asks if you want to add a new device, choose YES.
  • Go into the Bluetooth menu on your smartphone and select the HandsFreeLink option.
Now all you have to do is wait a few seconds for the pairing process to complete, and you’ll be able to sync your contacts, use voice commands, access navigation, and listen to music while you drive. Not only does this make selecting features more convenient as you drive, but it can also save you the hassle of a
distracted driving
ticket.
