How do you connect to Bluetooth in a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander?
I recently got a new-to-me Mitsubishi Outlander which I love! It was purchased from a private seller who mentioned the car had Bluetooth, but since I got it I haven’t figured out how to sync up my iPhone. How do you connect to Bluetooth in a 2017 Outlander?

, don’t stress—it’s a pain-free process! The first step is to ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on in the settings. Once you’ve done that, follow these next steps to pair it with your Outlander:- Locate the phone icon button in your vehicle. It should be one of the buttons to the left of your car’s display screen and will be marked with a phone-shaped icon. Pressing this button should redirect you to a screen with a passkey on it.
- Return to your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Select the hands-free system from the list of available Bluetooth devices to initiate pairing with your mobile device.
- Enter the passkey into your phone. When you select your vehicle from the list, you’ll be prompted to enter a passkey. Use the passkey that’s displayed on your car’s screen, then hit pair in your phone.
- Allow 10 to 15 seconds for your device to pair.
You’ll know pairing is successful when your car’s display screen changes (it will usually ask you if you want to import your phone’s contacts). Simply choose what you’d prefer to do, and that’s it—you’re ready to start streaming from your phone hands-free!
