How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Volkswagen Passat?

Can I connect my phone to my 2012 Volkswagen Passat via Bluetooth? I really thought that my new car had Bluetooth but I can’t figure out how to use it.

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow to connect Bluetooth to your 2012
Volkswagen Passat
:
  1. Turn on your car. On your navigation system, select Settings.
  2. Select Bluetooth.
  3. Open your phone and make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.
  4. On your phone, locate your vehicle on the list of available devices. You may also be prompted to enter a Bluetooth code, which will be displayed on your vehicle’s navigation screen.
  5. Wait for your phone to pair with your vehicle.
If the connection is unsuccessful, try turning off Bluetooth on your phone and then turning it back on. Also, check to ensure that you’re not already connected to another device.
