How do you condition leather car seats?

My uncle just purchased a brand new car to celebrate a promotion at work and he was generous enough to give me his old car. His old car is still in excellent condition, but he spends a lot of time driving, so I want to condition the leather seats before hitting the road. How can I condition the leather seats?

That was incredibly kind of him, and you must be excited to have a new-to-you car in such great condition!
Conditioning the leather seats is not a difficult task, but it will take some time and leather-specific products to ensure it’s done correctly. To have your seats looking fresh and clean, follow these steps:
  • Vacuum the interior of your car to remove loose dirt and debris that can damage the leather
  • Apply leather cleaner to the seats using a microfiber cloth or a soft-bristled brush for more problematic areas
  • Wipe off excess cleaner and moisture using a clean microfiber cloth and allow the seats to dry completely
  • Apply leather conditioner and thoroughly work it into the leather without letting it pool
  • Allow the conditioner to absorb for four to six hours or as directed in your product’s instructions
  • Wipe off excess conditioner using a microfiber cloth and repeat every three to six months or as needed
Before hitting the road in the comfort of your freshly conditioned seat, make sure you aren’t
