How do you charge an electric car?

I’m interested in buying an electric car, but I’m only familiar with how gas cars work. How do you “fuel” an electric car?

It’s great to hear that you’re considering buying an
electric car
! While electric vehicles have become more of a topic of conversation lately, there’s still so much that’s unknown!
So for the question of how to charge an EV, this depends on where exactly you’re charging your car.
If you’re at home you plug a normal three-pin plug into a wall outlet, if you’re out then you wouldn’t need to plug anything in, you just need to attach the charging adapter to your car.
Whether at home or out, you then attach the adapter or charger into your “fuel tank” which will either be on the side of your car or on the hood.
If you’re out, just remember that not all charging stations are free, so you may need to pay (like you do at a gas station pump) when you pull up.
Whether you’re considering buying an electric car or not, getting good auto insurance is always a good investment. But how do you know if you’re paying too much for auto insurance? Comparison shopping can be a real pain with all the phone calls, paperwork, etc.
So, what if there was an app that could do it for you?
