How do you charge a car battery without electricity?

My car has died in my garage a few times during quarantine becuase I haven’t been driving it. It’s always been okay because I have a home charger. But I’m worried about what happens if I’m not at home and my battery dies. How do you charge a car battery without electricity?

Good question! If you don’t have access to a charger to put some juice back in your car battery, there are other ways to charge it. The easiest is by jump starting it. You can also switch the batteries between two cars if they have batteries of similar sizes.
We’ve all heard of jumpstarting a car. Luckily, the process is pretty straightforward, and most jumper cables even come with directions on how to do it. Sometimes your car manual will have information too. Jumper cables are a basic part of any car emergency kit. Connect a dead battery to a working cars’ battery with the jumper cable to bring the dead car back to life.
You can also swap batteries between two cars of the same size. This would let the living car charge the dead battery. It might feel like you’re Dr. Frankenstein, but as long as you’re absolutely sure the batteries are the same size (specifically the mAh of the batteries), everything should work great.
Before worrying about batteries, make sure you have affordable insurance for your vehicles.
