How do you change a Toyota Camry’s car battery?
My Toyota Camry has had some trouble starting. I think the battery needs to be changed. How can I change my Camry’s battery?

I know it may seem intimidating, but changing the battery for your
Toyota Camry
isn’t too difficult. Make sure to take your time and follow these instructions: - Make sure the car is parked, turned off, and the key is not in the ignition.
- Pop the hoodand find the battery. It will look like a box with two cables connected.
- Disconnect the negative black cable first. You may need a wrench for this.
- Then, disconnect the positive red cable.
- If anything is holding your battery in place, remove it.
- When the battery is out, clean the battery clamps and tray.
- Take the new battery and line it up with the positive and negative cables. You’ll want to reconnect the cables in reverse order, so positive first and then negative.
- Refasten and tighten anything that holds the battery in place.
- Close the hood and start your car.
Once you change your battery, take note of the date and how many miles are on the vehicle. Knowing the age of the battery is potentially important information for a mechanic in the future.
