How do you change a 2014 Jeep Patriot tail light?
Last night, I noticed that my tail light was out. I want to change it before I get a ticket, but I’m not sure what the process is. How do you replace a tail light in a 2014 Jeep Patriot?

is usually quick and easy. You can do it at home in just a few minutes.The most common cause of a broken tail light is a burned-out bulb. Start your fix by looking up the replacement part number for the bulb in your owner’s manual and buy it. You’ll also need a flathead screwdriver. Then do the following:
- Open the tailgate and go to the affected side.
- Use the flathead screwdriver to pry up the plastic fasteners on the inner edge of the tail light housing
- Remove the tail light housing and turn over to access the bulbs
- Release the socket by turning it counterclockwise
- Remove the old bulb
- Using gloves to prevent damage and smudging, install the new bulb
- Reinstall all parts in reverse order
- Test your tail light
You’re done! Your tail light should now be working, and look at all the time and money you saved by doing it yourself.
