How do I renew insurance on my car?

I've been insured with GEICO for almost a year, and the end date of my policy is approaching. How do I renew insurance on my car so my policy doesn't expire?

Good question—you definitely don’t want your coverage to lapse!
GEICO
should notify you that your policy is up for renewal about a month before it expires. They will also send you a letter with your updated premium for the year.
Your policy will renew automatically if you don’t respond to their correspondence about renewal. If you accept the new rates and don’t need to make changes to your policy, then your work is done.
If your policy for some reason doesn’t renew automatically, or you need to alter your policy or coverages, then you’ll need to contact your insurance representative. Make sure your coverage doesn’t lapse! In most states, it’s illegal to drive without insurance, even if you didn’t know your policy expired. It may also lead to a higher premium later.
If your insurance company raised your premium for the new coverage year, it might be time to shop around for a new provider. To do this easily, check out the
