How do I remove bugs and tar from car paint?

What's the best way to get tar and bugs off my car? I drove through a rural area in California and now the front of my car is covered.

“Caked on bug guts and road tar can be really pesky to remove.
If you’ve already tried using (a lot of) soapy water, you might need something a bit stronger.
Try WD-40. Spray it on the affected area to slowly dissolve the bugs and tar. Once you’ve let the WD-40 set, use a soft brush to scrub away the grime.
And don’t worry—it’s safe! WD-40 won’t ruin your
paint job
