That’s not good! Luckily, there is a pretty simple DIY method for removing dents from your car trunk.
To remove the dent, invest in a dent repair kit. These usually run about $20-$30 and can be purchased online or from auto part stores.
Once you have your kit:
  • Wipe down the area of the dent with a microfiber cloth. This will prevent scratching and allow for a better seal between the metal and the dent puller.
  • Using the glue gun that came in the dent repair kit, heat the glue and apply two tablespoons to the middle of the dent.
  • Attach the puller tool from the repair kit and allow it to dry to the glue, about 10 minutes.
  • Once dry, slowly turn the dial on the puller to remove the dent. Once the dent is gone, you can remove the excess glue with a heat gun or blowdryer. And you’re done!
If the repair kit doesn’t remove the dent, you’ll want to take your car to a professional.
Auto body repair shops
can remove the dent easily, though it will cost more than a DIY method.
