How do I remove a dent from my car trunk?
I was loading groceries into my car and accidentally dented my trunk with a heavy bag. How do I remove a dent from my car trunk lid?

That’s not good! Luckily, there is a pretty simple DIY method for removing dents from your car trunk.
To remove the dent, invest in a dent repair kit. These usually run about $20-$30 and can be purchased online or from auto part stores.
Once you have your kit:
- Wipe down the area of the dent with a microfiber cloth. This will prevent scratching and allow for a better seal between the metal and the dent puller.
- Using the glue gun that came in the dent repair kit, heat the glue and apply two tablespoons to the middle of the dent.
- Attach the puller tool from the repair kit and allow it to dry to the glue, about 10 minutes.
- Once dry, slowly turn the dial on the puller to remove the dent. Once the dent is gone, you can remove the excess glue with a heat gun or blowdryer. And you’re done!
If the repair kit doesn’t remove the dent, you’ll want to take your car to a professional.
