How do I release the parking brake on a Honda Pilot?

I just got a used 2017 Honda Pilot EX, but I can’t seem to figure out the electric parking brake. How do I turn it off?

Congratulations on your new-to-you car! It’s easy to release the parking brake on a
Honda Pilot EX
, though the tech in new cars can certainly be confusing at times. Here’s what to do.
Fasten your seatbelt and step on the brake pedal. Then, pull up on the parking brake switch to release the brake.
Alternatively, you can press lightly on the gas pedal while in DRIVE to release the brake.
Congrats again on buying a Honda! After you park your Pilot, spare a minute to review your car insurance policy. You’d be surprised at how much you could be overpaying to insure your new car.
