I know that you can reuse engine oil, but what kind of filters do you need to purify it?

It’s great that you’re looking to reuse your engine oil! Reusing your engine oil is an eco-friendly decision, and the process of refining the used oil for reuse is not dissimilar to other oil refinements.
If your engine oil is left unchanged for too long, it may become inundated with debris particles. Purifying used engine oil is best accomplished by using two methods:
  • Centrifugal purifier
  • Bypass filtration
The reason it’s best to use two is that each method has its own abilities and limitations. A centrifugal purifier can filter larger particles and contaminants out of your engine oil, such as soot deposits or debris. However, a bypass filtration system will collect smaller contaminants more efficiently.
