My brother sold me his 2009 Honda Accord on the cheap. While the car itself is in tip-top condition, he told me that I need to program the key. How can I program a 2009 Honda Accord key?

Honda Accord
key, use these step-by-step instructions:- Make sure all doors are closed and unlocked.
- Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position.
- Press and hold the lock button for one to two seconds.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Turn the ignition back to the on position.
- Press the lock button on the key. The doors should lock and unlock, which indicates that you’re in programming mode.
- Within five seconds of the doors locking and unlocking, press the lock button again. The doors should lock and unlock again.
- Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
This should program a 2009 Honda Accord key. If it doesn’t, you may need a new battery for your key fob. If a battery change doesn’t work, take your car to a Honda dealership to see if they can help.
