How do I open the trunk of a Honda Accord?

Congratulations on your new-to-you purchase. While opening your car’s trunk seems like a no-brainer, figuring out how to do it on a new
Honda Accord
is more troublesome than you might think. To open your Honda Accord’s trunk, use the lever on the floorboard by the driver’s seat or use your key fob.On most Honda Accord models, you should find a lever you can pull with your left hand. It comes in two formats:
- A push-pull lever. Pulling the lever opens the trunk. Pushing the lever opens the gas tank.
- Separate pull levers for the gas and the trunk. The larger lever is the trunk.
If the lever is broken, you can also use your key fob to open the trunk of a Honda Accord. As a last-ditch effort, some Accords also have a keyhole on the trunk itself. You can use your car key to unlock the trunk if this is the case.
And finally, if you ever get locked in the trunk for any reason, every Honda Accord comes equipped with an emergency pull switch to open the trunk from the inside.
