How do I open a GMC Sonoma hood?
I can’t figure out how to open the hood on my GMC Sonoma for the life of me and I lost the owner’s manual long ago. How can I get GMC Sonoma hood open?

I’m sorry you’ve lost the owner’s manual! Those things can come in handy. Many car manufacturers place the hood release levers in inconspicuous spots, so it’s common for drivers to miss them.
- Pull the hood release lever that can be found on the lower left side of thesteering wheelcolumn in the driver’s side cabin.
- Lift the hood.
- Prop the hood open using the hood prop bar that can be found laying horizontally near the grille. It should fit into a corresponding slot on the underside of the hood.
On some models, you may also need to release a safety latch that anchors the hood down before you can lift it up all the way. This will just require you to either push up on the latch or move the latch over one way.
