How do I get mice out of car vents?
I park my car in a field where there seems to be a nest of mice, and unfortunately, I think one crawled under my car and got into my HVAC system. Can you tell me how to get mice out of my car vents?

Mice may be cute from a distance, but not in a car! Rodents like mice can do a lot of damage to your car’s wiring and interior, so follow these steps to get your car pest-free:
- Roll up your windows and blast the heater. This may make the mouse jump out of the vent (which will leave you with the task of getting it out of your cabin) or find its way out the way it came.
- Loud noises may scare the mouse out of the air vent. Honk your horn repeatedly or use an airhorn in the vent. It won’t be the most orderly option, but anything that gets the little guy out is worth a shot.
- Mousetraps and repellent may be the only option if neither of these tactics plays out. You can buy mouse repellent at hardware and home improvement stores. Place the repellent strips around your car or set mousetraps to catch your new furry friend if he decides to hop out of the vent.
