A loose sun visor is inconvenient and dangerous for drivers. How you fix a loose car sun visor will depend on whether the sun visor is on a fixed mount or swivel mount.
If your sun visor is on a swivel mount, you’ll just tighten the screws surrounding the mount to fix a loose sun visor. However, you’ll have to take additional steps to repair your car’s sun visor if it is on a fixed mount.
Follow these steps to repair a loose sun visor on a fixed mount:
- Tighten the screws hold the bar to the roof of the car
- Check the visor clips to see if they have widened
- Add rubber caps or stripping to the clip to tight the grip on the visor
