How do I connect Bluetooth to a Volkswagen Jetta from 2010?

I was lucky enough to score a great deal on a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. However, the original owner lost the owner’s manual, so I’m at a loss for how to connect the Bluetooth system. What do I need to do to connect my phone to the 2010 Jetta via Bluetooth?

Congrats on scoring a great deal, and fear not about Bluetooth! Just follow these simple steps to connect your phone via Bluetooth to a Volkswagen Jetta from 2010:
  1. Turn the vehicle on or into accessories mode.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth mode on your phone.
  3. Select VW BT.
  4. Enter the PIN, which should be 0000.
  5. The light above you, the sunglasses holder should turn green.
  6. You’re all done!
Keep in mind that Bluetooth in this model year Jetta only allows hands-free calling and voice recognition. If you want to stream music, you’ll have to use the Jetta’s auxiliary port instead.
