How do you fix a jammed cassette player in a car?

Shockingly, my car still has a cassette player. I use it often to listen to my oldie’s music. However, one of my cassettes is stuck, and I’m not sure what to do. How can I unjam my car’s cassette player?

It is somewhat shocking you still have, and more importantly, use a cassette player, but the good news is that it’s easy to unjam your car’s cassette player. In just a few minutes, you should be jamming to your oldies again!
To fix a jammed cassette player in your car, you’ll need:
  • Flat-head screwdriver
  • Needle-nosed pliers
Once you have your tools, you should:
  1. Press and hold the cassette player’s eject button.
  2. Insert your flat-head screwdriver underneath the cassette.
  3. Gently pry upward on the tape until it comes free from the cassette player’s heads.
  4. Insert your needle-nosed pliers and pull the cassette out of the player.
If this doesn’t fix the issue or you’re not confident in your skills, take your car to a mechanic, dealership, or audio specialist for professional help.
Additionally, if you haven’t updated your

policy since oldie’s music was just called music, now is a good time!
Fortunately, updating your policy doesn’t have to be as complicated as using a cassette player if you use
