How do I connect an iPhone to a Fiat 500 with Bluetooth?

I’m taking my Fiat 500 on a long road trip and my daughter encouraged me to connect to Bluetooth so I can play my music. How do I connect an iPhone to a Fiat 500 with Bluetooth?

Use the Uconnect menu to connect an iPhone to a
Fiat 500
with Bluetooth—look for the Settings and User Pairing in the menu.
Fiats with a 7-inch touchscreen include Apple CarPlay. These are mostly newer models. Be aware that older Fiats may have Bluetooth but this only works for hands-free calls, not for streaming music. Check your owner’s manual if you’re not sure what you have.
Use the menu on your Fiat 500’s multimedia information system. Look for ‘Settings’ and then navigate to ‘User Pairing’. This prepares your vehicle to engage Apple CarPlay, allowing your iPhone to pair with the car.
Ensure that your phone has Bluetooth activated. You can do this in your Settings and simply toggle on the Bluetooth model. Now, your iPhone is discoverable by the car.
Look at your Fiat’s display. Select ‘Blue&Me’. This will produce a PIN, which you can enter on your phone to confirm the connection. Now, you’re all set to play your music via Bluetooth! You can even use voice commands with Siri now.
If you’re going on a road trip, you might want to get a
AAA membership
or add
roadside assistance
to your existing car insurance policy. This could come in handy if you run out of gas or get a flat tire.
