How do I check the hydraulic fluid on a Ford 1710 tractor?

How can I check the hydraulic fluid levels on my Ford tractor? My dad left the farm to go on vacation with my mom. I want to surprise him when he’s back by doing a full maintenance check on our tractor.

Aw, that’s super sweet of you! I’m sure your dad would love it.
To check the hydraulic fluid on your
Ford
1710 tractor, you’ll need to find the dipstick, located either on top of the transmission or the rear end.
When you unscrew the hydraulic reservoir’s cap, you’ll notice the dipstick attached. If the dipstick is wet with hydraulic fluid, then your levels are good. If not, then it may be time for a change.
Most tractors will use a universal hydraulic fluid that’s clear in color. Find out which one your father used. If the hydraulic fluid is still clear, then it doesn’t need to be changed. If it isn’t, then you have to replace the fluid.
But if you really want to surprise your father, talk to him about coverage for his tractor through a
