My BMW isn’t responding to its key fob anymore, and I have to imagine that the battery is dead but I’m not sure how to fix it. How should I change the battery of a BMW 1 series key fob?

I’m sorry that your battery died, but I’m happy to say it’s a simple fix! To change the battery on a BMW 1 series

, start by removing the metal key. Here’s what to do next:- Turn the remote over. The battery should be under the back cover.
- Remove the cover. If you need something to pry it up with, the metal key will work nicely.
- Take the old battery out and replace it with a new one.
- Snap the back cover in place.
