I’ll admit it. I love smoking weed. Since I live on the coast, I like to smoke a joint, go on a drive, and enjoy the scenery. However, one of my friends said I can get a DWI for driving while high. I’m skeptical. How can cops test for weed if they pull you over?

- Field sobriety tests: These are identical to the field sobriety tests for alcohol, but police officers look for impairment in different ways, most notably in the eyes.

- Discretion: Some people slur their speech or suffer from confusion when under the influence of weed. So cops ask questions and gauge your answers.
