How can I remove road paint from my car's wheel wells?

I drove my Dodge truck through construction and got road line paint in my wheels. My black plastic wheel wells are now speckled with yellow. What can I do?

“I’m sorry that you got paint all over your Dodge truck; but don’t worry, it’s easy to clean up!
Depending on the damage, you may be able to remove it with a stiff brush and soap.
If that doesn’t work, most auto parts stores, like AutoZone, will stock adhesive removers that can help you
remove road paint
. Some examples of these removers include 3M Adhesive Remover and Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover.
If you’re planning on using a remover, be sure you have the proper supplies. Most removers contain harsh chemicals, so having protection on hand is important. You should have:
  • Gloves
  • Safety goggles
  • Mask
Make sure when using chemicals to work in a well-ventilated area as you don’t want to breathe them in!
Since your driving route seems to go through construction sites, it might be useful to have roadside assistance to take care of your car! A roadside assistance membership with
Jerry
can provide support in case something happens that you can’t DIY, including towing, tire change, jumpstarts, and more!”
