Does the Toyota RAV4 have a manual transmission?

I’ve driven stick-shift cars all my life, but I need to upgrade to a bit of a larger vehicle to accommodate dogs and kids. I like the RAV4, but does it have a manual transmission?

No—the
Toyota RAV4
 does not have a manual transmission in North America, although it was available as a manual in some other countries. The RAV4 comes with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and a standard eight-speed automatic transmission with
front-wheel drive
, although all-wheel drive is also available.
While you may not be saving money on fuel with a manual transmission, the RAV4 has earned itself class-competitive fuel-economy estimates from the EPA, with the FWD model getting up to 35 mpg on the highway and the AWD model getting 32 mpg.
