Does the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 come with manual transmission?
I’m looking to buy a brand new Mercedes-Benz but thinking I want manual transmission for the extra fun factor. What about the CLA 250?

We totally agree—cars with manual transmission are really fun to drive! The 2022
Mercedes-Benz CLA 250
comes with an automatic 7-speed transmission—however, standard shift paddles put manual control at your fingertips anytime the mood strikes. If you want a true-manual vehicle (in other words, one that comes with only a manual transmission and includes a clutch)—this particular Mercedes may not be for you. The CLA 250 was launched for 2015, and none of the trim levels have come with a manual-only option for the first or second generation
You can choose another car from the Mercedes CLA-class. The CLA 180 comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, and the CLA 200 is available in your choice of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission. However, you’ll have to shop used, as both of these cars were only produced through 2018.
Unfortunately, if you’re committed to manual transmission, your options at Mercedes-Benz are going to be limited to used vehicles. The brand has been working to phase out manuals over the last several years, and the few Mercedes that are still available with manual transmission (or standard shift paddles) are due to be discontinued in 2023. This automatic-only mindset is to keep up with the increasing demand for electric vehicles.
