2003 Pontiac Aztek

Without a doubt, the car most associated with Walter White is his iconic 2003

, an embarrassment in car form. 
An ungainly marriage between a minivan and an SUV, the Aztek was only produced for five years. It was designed with young, active Gen X families in mind and marketed as a versatile crossover, but its awkward styling doomed it to ridicule and failure. 
But for the White family, weighed down by credit card debt and medical bills even before Walt’s fateful lung cancer diagnosis, the Aztek was a practical choice. 
With Walter White behind the wheel, the Aztek took on challenges its creators could never have imagined. In the show’s first four seasons, Walt’s trusty car toted bodies, sped down highways carrying thousands of dollars of cash, survived the debris of a plane crash, and stood up to a chunk of concrete hurled by an angry Jesse Pinkman. 
But the Aztek’s greatest moment came in the Season 3 finale, when it became a pivotal character in the season’s climactic scene. Minutes from catastrophe, Walt plowed the Aztek into a pair of rival drug dealers, saving Jesse’s life (and shattering the windshield once again in the process).

What happened to the real Pontiac Aztek from Breaking Bad?

There were actually three Azteks on the set of Breaking Bad. One went on display at Sony Studios after the show wrapped, while another was used for parts. But the final Aztek, a 2003 model that was used to film a major crash in Season 4, was sold at auction for $7,800 in October 2013.

2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8

. This sleek yet massive land yacht, which looks a lot more like a drug lord’s car than the boxy Aztek, carried Heisenberg through the show’s final days. 
From its imposing silhouette to its 6.4-liter V8 engine, the 300 SRT8 had a lot of swagger—not unlike its driver. In fact, the move from the Aztek to the 300 SRT8 symbolized a major transformation in Walt’s character. When he got behind the wheel, Walt shed the cocoon of mediocrity that the Aztek represented and truly became Heisenberg.
Big on muscle and opulence alike, the car would likely have set Walt back a cool $47,670 if he bought it new. But, out of deference to his wife Skyler’s concerns that buying such an ostentatious new ride would put him on the IRS’s radar, Walt did the responsible thing: he
leased
it instead. 
Fun Fact Although the 2012 300 SRT8 was the latest model available when Breaking Bad was filmed, it was actually inaccurate, since the show was set two years earlier.

1986 Fleetwood Bounder

Walter White wasn’t the only character to drive the beat-up RV that became his meth lab in the show’s explosive pilot, but it’s still one of the most iconic vehicles associated with the show. 
In the show’s first episode, Walt gave Jesse $7,000—his entire life savings—to buy an old RV for use as a mobile meth lab. Jesse returned with a 1986 Fleetwood Bounder (later revealed to be stolen), a not-so-modern prairie schooner perfect for illicit chemical exploits. It promptly became both a drug lab and a murder scene when things turned ugly out at the desert cook site. 
For the next three seasons, the RV was the heart of Walt and Jesse’s growing business. It wasn’t always reliable, as they learned the hard way on a four-day cooking session in the remote desert. From bullet holes and faulty batteries to poison gas, the RV endured more than its share of hardships. But it served them well until its eventual demise in the jaws of Old Joe’s wrecking machine midway through Season 3. 

1977 Cadillac Sedan DeVille

sold to him in a Denny’s parking lot along with the M60 machine gun he used to mow down the white supremacist compound in the show’s final moments.  
The 1977 DeVille was the start of the model’s fifth generation, and it marked Cadillac’s 75th anniversary in style. Once a classy car, the DeVille Walt drives in the show’s finale wouldn’t win any beauty contests. Like Walt himself, it looks a little defeated—but it’s concealing a murderous power that’s unleashed at the end of the episode.
