Does the Kia warranty cover brakes?

I’ve had issues with my old Kia brakes in the past, so I’m worried about buying a new Kia if the brakes aren’t covered under warranty. Are they?

Unfortunately, the Kia warranty does not cover brakes. You’ll actually be hard-pressed to find a car warranty that does cover brakes.
Brakes are typically considered a “wear and tear” component of your car. Because they see excessive wear and tear, these components are often excluded from car warranties.
Each new Kia purchased comes with the following standard warranties:
  • 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty
  • 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty
  • 10-year/100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty
  • 5-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan
