Does the Ford warranty cover air conditioning?
My Ford Fusion’s AC broke, but I’m pretty sure I’m still under the warranty. Will it be covered?

Yes, the Ford warranty covers air conditioning.
Every new Ford comes standard with a factory warranty that includes bumper-to-bumper coverage for 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first). This essentially covers all mechanical and electrical components, including the air conditioning.
Your Ford factory warranty also includes 5 years or 60,000 miles of coverage for your powertrain and safety restraint system, 5 years and unlimited miles of corrosion coverage, and 5 years or 100,000 miles of coverage for your diesel engine, if applicable.
So, what isn’t covered under Ford’s factory warranty?
- Any damage caused by accidents, theft, vandalism, improper maintenance, or improper fuel use
- Environmental damage
- Aftermarket modifications, alterations, and any damage caused by aftermarket parts
- Wear-and-tear items like brake pads and windshield wiper blades
- Routine maintenance services like oil changes and tire rotations
Ford also offers multiple extended warranties: PremiumCARE, ExtraCARE, BaseCARE, and PowertrainCARE, which can extend your warranty to up to 8 years or 150,000 miles. Air conditioning will be covered under these plans, as well.
