Does Hyundai have adaptive cruise control?
I’m looking to buy my first new car in a long time but I’m not sure what make I want to go with. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Hyundai but wanted to make sure that the brand has good driver assistance technology before making a final decision. Do new Hyundai models feature adaptive cruise control?

Shopping for a new car is always an exciting experience and Hyundai models experience higher than average reliability and safety ratings, so they are a great choice. Additionally, most new Hyundai models have adaptive cruise control—which Hyundai calls Smart Cruise Control—as part of their Smart Sense driver assistance package of features.
That being said, not all new Hyundais feature the tech. Here’s a quick breakdown of the models on which you can expect to find Smart Cruise Control as a standard feature:
- 2022 Hyundai Elantra (optional on SEL trim, standard on Limited trim and above)
- 2022 Hyundai Kona (Limited trim only)
- 2022 Hyundai Tucson (standard on the SEL trim and above)
- 2022 Santa Cruz (all trims)
- 2022 Santa Fe (all trims)
- 2022 Palisade (all trims)
- 2022 Hyundai Sonata (all trims)
On top of Smart Cruise Control, these Hyundai models also feature additional driver assistance features courtesy of Hyundai’s Smart Sense package:
- Forward-collision warning
- Automatic emergency braking
- Lane-departure warning
