Unfortunately, the answer is no: Costco does not install car batteries, even though they sell them. However, Costco customers can purchase their battery at Costco’s low price and then take it to another location for installation, such as the following:
Walmart
AutoZone
Pep Boys
Additionally, most auto repair shops are willing to install a car battery for you, even if you didn’t go through them to order the part—so you’re always free to take it to your trusted mechanic.
No matter where you choose to have the battery installed, you can expect to pay a small labor fee for the work. On average, mechanics charge between $37 and $50 in labor to install a car battery.
But if you’re really looking to save money, you can always roll up your sleeves and attempt to
yourself. It takes minimal tools and supplies to complete the task, and you don’t have to be a car expert to get the job done—so if you’re willing, it may be worth a shot!
