Do Teslas have non-stick paint?

My dad told me Teslas have non-stick paint, but I think he was tricking me. Does a Tesla have non-stick paint?

Ah, the jokester dad. Let’s figure out whether he was kidding or not.
The answer is sort of. Teslas have a ceramic coating that repels water and dirt. You could think of it as non-stick paint—non-stick pretty much sums up the coating’s purpose.
It’s the reason you don’t often see Teslas that aren’t superbly glossy and clean. They’re painted to stay looking extra fresh.
You can let your dad know you believe him now—and tell him to thank us!
