How many Lincoln Mark LTs were made?

I’m sitting here in a little disbelief that Lincoln ever tried to make a pickup truck when they are so closely tied to Ford. Was the Lincoln Mark LT popular? How many did Lincoln make?

It may seem a bit silly now, but seemingly
Lincoln
was confident in the market out there for luxury pickup trucks! Only about 36,050 Lincoln Mark LTs were made in total between 2006 and 2009.
Unfortunately, that market was much smaller than they thought it would be.
Initially, Lincoln was plotting for a smooth 13,000 units sold in its first year, but it only reached about 10,000 sales. The Mark LT was a bit more popular the following year but took a steady decline after that until its discontinuation.
Some folks out there surely want a pickup truck more focused on luxury than performance, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for most people. But Lincoln has heard the masses—they haven’t tried to produce a new pickup truck since.
