Have a blast in Mallorca! If you intend to rent a car and/or drive anywhere in Spain, you should get an international driving permit (IDP). Spain stipulates that all foreign drivers who have an English license should apply for an IDP before arriving.
If you get pulled over in Spain without an IDP, you could face legal and financial repercussions. So make sure you apply for your IDP at your local AAA office before you leave the country. You’ll have to pay $20 and provide passport photos, but it’s worth the work to be able to drive stress-free in beautiful Mallorca!
