Do high mileage cars need thicker oil?

I put a ton of miles on my truck for work, and want to take good care of my engine. I heard that putting in thicker oil helps—is that true? Do higher mileage cars need thicker oil?

Yes, high mileage cars need thicker oil. If you’re putting
high miles
on your car, your engine is subject to more wear and tear. Using thicker oil helps keep your engine parts lubricated for longer and keeps your engine in great shape.
Using thicker oil is recommended not only for drivers who put a lot of miles on the road but for cars that already have high miles on them. For example, if your vehicle has 60,000 to 150,0000 miles on it, you may want to consider making the switch to thicker oil to keep your engine shipshape.
If you’re switching the kind of oil you use, why not also switch your
car insurance
policy to something that’s not only cheaper, but saves you money without skipping out on coverage? With
