Do brake pads come in pairs?

I had a weird problem where only one of my wheels had brake pad problems. So now I only need to replace one. All I can find online are kits with two or four. Do brake pads come in pairs?

Yes, brake pads do come in pairs since most vehicles need two on each wheel.
Every wheel requires two brake pads. So, if you need to replace the brake pads on one wheel, you need two brake pads. You must replace both of the pads on a wheel at the same time.
It’s also not a bad idea to replace the brake pads on both wheels, especially if it’s been a while since you replaced them.
