Can you flat tow a Nissan Rogue?

I need to get my Nissan Rogue to a mechanic, but it’s not safe to drive. Can I flat tow it, or do I need to get a trailer?

I’m sorry to hear that your Nissan Rogue is out of commission, but it’s a good thing you asked before you just strapped your Rogue to another car and took off. Some Nissan Rogues can be flat towed in case of emergency, but models equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) cannot be flat towed under any circumstances.
Attempting to flat tow a Nissan Rogue with a CVT will cause powertrain damage.
If your car insurance policy includes
towing and labor coverage
, you may be eligible for free emergency towing. Now is probably a good time to review your policy.
